Digital Proposal

The poem I am working with will be “Game” by Laura Kasischke. I am thinking of creating a video with two people. This poem reminded me of some animations I saw on youtube but I cannot do that so I think I will pass that. However, I think I can take a video of a couple. Just because the poem talks about mother and daughter, it doesn’t mean I have to focus on them, right? I just have to be able to show how people misses someone, or regrets when that special person is gone. I thought I could make the digital part of this like a music video of a couple being together showing happy faces, doing stuff together and at the end, as the song goes, they break up. I first need to find, and buy a song for this if I am going to really use a song, and I do not really know if I can cast anyone for my digital essay.

Aside from my plans, (since plans don’t really mean anything if actions are not taken) I am not sure if I can do this. I have a camera I can use, but I am not sure who to cast for my digital essay, and I don’t know if I can make the video long enough. Even if the problems of casting is solved, I have never used a program to make a video. The messaging and feeling part cannot even be worried at this point since I have so many things to worry about before even starting. This digital essay part sounds very stressing

for me.

As professor Kaufman says, I think I should concentrate on the title of the poem “Game” because this can cover all the feelings and stuff I want to talk about. However, I don’t specifically know what kind of video I should take. I want to take a video of a teenager not studying, partying, and regretting after certain incident, but this is not an animation, casting is almost impossible. This is still stressing.
