My progress so far..

Paper number 3 was at first a challenge and something that I had no idea what I was going to do. I’ll admit I panicked a bit not too long ago because I was completely lost, or at least I thought, between the digital project, the paper, and my ideas. Right now though, I’m feeling pretty good and have pulled off almost a full 180 since that time just a couple of weeks ago. The paper is coming along pretty well and I have no real qualms about it. The structure of the essay and analyzation has been a bit difficult because there are so many different ideas and things that I want to say that it becomes difficult to make them clear and concise. However, the paper is pretty under control. The digital project was the biggest problem.

The digital project is a very nice addition to add to a paper like this. It allows us to visualize and present what our analysis and paper really is about each of our poems or songs. My poem being Black Art there is a lot to say about it and its author, Amiri Baraka. This was one of the troubles with my essay because there is so much, but this translated to my digital project quite more intense than in my essay. The digital project, unlike last semester, was becoming more of a hassle the more I thought about it. Last semester I had a pretty solid idea of what I wanted from the beginning and expanded on it by the time I did it, this semester I had absolutely no clue what to do or if it was even possible. After calming down and talking it out, the podcast idea (thanks professor) was a life saver. As soon as I am able to fine tune my paper, I’ll be working on my digital project because the idea is to have a sort of debate with Baraka using his audio of Black Art, but also using my paper as certain phrases/sentences that I will use to debate with Baraka. It seems fun and intriguing so I’m looking forward to it.

Also for everyone still struggling:

Good Luck
