For my digital essay, I have decided to show the cinematic narrative of my poem, At the Point by Tim Dlugos. I wanted to depict each stanza and make it as if it’s one movie . For each stanza, I used an image that I thought would depict it best. Then I included a voice over of the reading of the poem. Making this project wasn’t as hard as the written portion of the essay, but it was still hard to find exactly the images that I had in my head for each stanza. The digital essay connects to my written essay because they both incorporate the theme of the cinematic narrative illustrating the moral of the poem, which is to take a break from everyday life and reflect upon your decisions so you can be happy with where you are and set future goals. I think the digital essay shows the cinematic aspect of this poem and the way it paints an image in your head as you read along. Once I figure out some technical difficulties, I will finally be done and upload my digital essay.
