Pfanner, Eric. “Japan Pitches Its High-Speed Train With an Offer to Finance.”The New

York Times. The New York Times, 18 Nov. 2013. Web. 07 May 2016.

Eric Pfanner published this article for the New York Times regarding the American governmental visit to Japan for a showcase of their high-speed bullet trains. Japan extended this invitation to offer the American government a firsthand look at just how efficient and remarkable their train system works. Japan wishes to reach out to the US and have them purchase their trains and implement a similar transportation system in the US. This information comes from a well reputable publication such as the New York Times and a published and recognized journalist. This article was published almost three years ago so although a bit outdated, shows that there has been no advancement in these talks. This article will provide my research with the support needed to show alternatives and lack of improvements in our current system of transportation in New York City.

Yes, this seems a good informational source, and your topic seems to be wanting to change/improve the train system, which of course is a great topic! I’m wondering if you want to limit this to NY, or at least the East Coast, or if you are actually interested in trying to increase train travel in this country? Just make sure your focus is clear.
