The topic I chose is immigration. I chose it because it’s a topic that has a lot of controversy. Some people think that immigrants should have a chance to stay here because they’re just trying to work or go to school. But others want to deport them and think they’re taking jobs or causing crime. There are always people protesting, or asking the government or Obama to do something about immigration. I also chose it because some people in my family have immigrated here and have had problems. I want to research the topic so I can learn more about it so that I can understand what is happening and understand both sides. I think I understand the assignment but I just want to be sure if we’re just analyzing the two articles we choose.
