The Nyc scavenger heart was interesting although the rain made it slightly less attractive to be running around New York.
The item on the list where somewhat of what I expected with a few curve balls I’m used too. Some items seemed like it was impossible the most interesting item I was the oldest theater to be lit by electricity however I wasn’t able to get there in time for the hunt I now know that at this very old building is on The way of my daily commute towards work. The best find I’d say was the studio simply because the downtown area is more attractive to my eyes running around looking for old theater related objects was more fun than I thought however a pamphlet of each item if you find it would have been useful towards learning more of said objects

critical question
circus and more of mainstream cheaper entertainment played a larger role in the lives of the people as the cheap entertainment would allow it to be more accessible, it would be interesting to know why the performances of ancient time were so different and extreme

I’ve always learned better y actually preforming the last or seeing something in person, you can learn a lot more about the actual area and time period after seeing an object because it was produced for the audience of the time. seeing what people found precious what many people were so interested in was outstanding. the archive is incredibly vast and useful so i look forward to see what i find.
Kathakali 2
from watching this film it was very confusing so after reading more of the performance and the subtitle did help the story line was very strange i was able to tell from the extravagant makeup, mask , and outfits , i may have missed some of their accessories the story however easy to make out after knowing the story i think you would have needed to know what they were doing, understand the gestures.

although the translation made it harder to read it was a boost of intensity.the story seems to represent a king if you would say some sort of hierarchy whom power was giving to him/her by a “divine” source unexplained to the people being ruled nor agreed upon. this story seems to be how the people will react and take action against such a force
