After reading the review, I started to think to myself about the originality of any form of theater. I am a huge marvel fan and have noticed they are bringing back the old school heros. Many critics say it is the original but then the hardcore fans like me wonder about what is considered original. Hamilton was interpreted alot and kept being considered the original one. Makes you wonder what people view as original.

My first thoughts of doing a scavenger hunt wasn’t as exciting but once the hunt began I started to enjoy it. I honestly did not know how many places related to theater we could find near campus. Across the street we have a theater themed restaurant and all my years in Baruch I never went inside there. This scavenger hunt was a life changing experience.

Throughout the hunt it was a bit difficult going in the rain considering the fact I didn’t have an umbrella. I went out with my teammates to buy one and little did we know that we found an acting studio. It was very surprising it was next to a bar. This area was very interesting because of all the places in NYC I wouldn’t expect this acting studio to be there. I always assumed all theater related stuff was at broadway and excluded. I began to remember that theater is everywhere, we see it everyday at the train station during our commute. Although the rain made the hunt intense it also made it competitive to see which team can win. Unfortunately my team did not win but we still had a good time and made new friends. This hunt made me appreciate theater more and value it alot. I hope to do another hunt like this and cannot wait to discuss this in class today.

Globalization has played an important role in society. Is the idea of mixing cultures in theater into one diverse play a good idea?

It is amazing how these two works are related in explaining the struggles and rights of women. Time has changed and women are actually more independent then men but do women enjoy this or would they prefer the traditonal stay at home life?

After reading the play my perspective on how society views men and women have changed. I understand women are treated unequal but I never took into account how much women have to sacrifice compared to men.

Its amazing how the circus has changed over the course of history, in today’s society its family oriented and popular. What caused this change in culture to occur?

It is amazing how theater has changed within these past years. Theater used to be only played by white men and not women or people of color. Does this type of theater still exist today in any part of the world?

Supremacy played an important role and I would like to know how it affects today’s society of supremacy? Does Supremacy in modern theater exist?

The visit was interesting and one of the pieces that attracted me the most was the yiddish video they were showing. I do not recall the name but the man always said “dybbuk.” I was surprised to see so many original costumes at this specific museum, it shows how much value this museum is compared to other ones.

This was my first time at NYPL and I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it bu Doug made everything seem so clear and exciting. I was surprised they had a room dedicated to watch theater from the past as well as some current theater performances. The information given was helpful and now I know where I can go to get more information on my project ideas.
