I had a lot of fun on our visit/tour of the New York Public Library For the Performing Arts. The research tools he gave us were really helpful for me especially because I’ve never had to go through archives before and probably wouldn’t know where to start on my own. The room where you can watch old performances of shows was really cool and a useful fact to keep in mind not only for the project but in general, however I think my personal favorite thing that I saw in the building were the old set drawings that weren’t a full exhibit yet. It did make me think that i might want to find a way to talk about set design in my project but I don’t really know how I could make some form of argument including that, either way I was really interested in the different styles and scenery in each of them.
