The following lines will show my own opinion about two pieces of art that arouse my interest
In his piece “Guitar Drag”, Christian Marclay uses a one shot camera as a technique to communicate a no stop travel. His vision was focused in leaving the audience and keep the continuity of the trip, that is why the guitar keeps dragging until it disappears from the scene. Also the abstract concept of guitar is reflected in his cause, because the artist did not show a guitar it shows sort of metal attached with a rope and the form that it give makes me think on a guitar even thought I am not seeing one.
The perspective of how the animals behave, specifically elephants, is well condensed by the artist Douglas Gordon in his piece Play Dead. The vision that this artist has it should be related to the innocence of the elephant and how the camera is catching every single move he make. The elephant is just being himself there is nobody seems to be with him except for the camera. His well captured moves catch the attention of the audience immediately. And the 360 perspective also contributes with this well done piece.
