Artist Statement – “Orange You Funny”

Chase wanted to bring animation and dark humor into an object that bright and gives off a positive vibe. He selected an orange and took some inspiration from the annoying orange on Youtube. This is supposed to be a different take on play  the joke, “knock, knock…..whose there?….Orange…Orange who…”. Chase kept panning to the left as the face gets built to build suspense. The idea to choose an apple was people always say you can’t compare apples and oranges. The elements of animation and cartoons are prevalent in all the artist previous works and are shown here as well.
