Why is she given a sliced cake? while her male counterparts gets his cake untouched?
The cake in this situation represents the pay gap situation. Men are paid fairly based on their work, while women in the same positions are paid less.

Men clearly earn more than women in the workplace. Regardless of whether they both hold the same positions in an organization.
This is a graph showing the earnings of men in relation to their female counterparts who work in the same field. It is quite evident from the graph that in 2014, men who had the same experience and the same job titles and positions. On an average made more than women who were equally as qualified as they were.

This picture pretty much sums up the pay inequality problem in the country. It is obvious that the man depicted in the picture is standing on a larger stack of coins as compared to the woman. They both seem content in the picture, but the pay inequality problem cannot be ignored or pushed away.
US WOMEN’S SOCCER NATIONAL TEAM IS PAID LOWER THAN THEIR MALE COUNTERPARTS

The controversy that surrounded the pay gap between the US men’s National soccer team and the US women’s National soccer team. Its no secret that women in sports are paid well below their male counterparts. The US women’s National soccer team in 2015 after their historic world cup win, brought to attention their discontent with the the large pay gap that existed between the male national team and the female national team. The male national team was being paid large sums of money while the female national team on the other hand was paid relatively lower despite the fact that they had gained a lot of success over the years.
