DAY 1 — HELLO, sorry about that. Well, I kinda found myself Code Switching, crazy right? Crazy? I was crazy once. SORRY. Okay so I was talking to my friend who did not understand me at first, so I had to change what I was saying which made me think more and carefully. Anyway, I had to switch between two languages.

DATA REPORT

TIME: DAY 2

I was again taunted about what to wear as it felt pretty cold and it was raining outside, but I still chose to wear something light as I felt like further into the day it would become warmer. It made me very indecisive as I was talking to my friends about the weather really made me think a bit.

DAY 3

When I was outside buying food for what I wanted for dinner, it really made me switch codes again and again! Okay, enough. I was trying to choose between a quick but decent dinner or a lot of time to prepare a tasty dinner. Want to hear what I chose? Just milk. Yup, I just quit on choosing and drank milk with bread instead. I was talking to my parent for what they wanted for dinner, but I still settle for milk and bread. Wow.

PROGRESS REPORT, DAY 4

Well, deciding what assignment I wanted to do or put aside for later really made me think for a bit, as usually I would just do them all in a day regardless of the due date. I guess studying too much really changes how I think now. As I was studying with my friend who I had to switch between two languages, as they have the same classes as me, but we were talking about the due’s dates. Really. That what we talked about in a span of a few minutes.

DAY 5

Nothing new, just your friendly neighborhood spiderman here. Sorry, let me give you the context here. Well, we went to choose a movie to watch. I found myself code-switching with my friends again. Surprising? Anyway, I tried my best to explain what the movie was about and try to say famous Spider-Man quotes, but it ended up that I used a different language to explain it. And no, we did not watch it after all. Sadly.

DAY 6

Writing a whole email to my colleague or texting my friends really gave me code-switching again. I found myself texting my friends differently, as I would disregard the grammar and spelling, and vice versa when I was emailing, as I would reread and make sure everything sounded great. Hmm, I think the email was about assignment that was due a week from now.

DAY 7

Meeting someone new really change how I talk to them at first, as I am very, “very”, respectful toward as I really wanted to get to know them, but still feel very far away from them, but when I meet my friends, I don’t really feel that far away from them, as I am very close to them, but I still greet them in a respectful manner, of course.
