Day Logging | Code-switch |
1 | While I was at school I kept to myself and only really interacted with my one friend at school, I was more shy than the rest of my day. At work, I was more talkative and I interacted with my coworkers. |
2 | At school once again, I didn’t speak much, until I got to my kitten’s doctor’s appointment. I was extra polite, outspoken, and asked many questions without hesitation. After, I went to a birthday party but I was surrounded by a lot of new people, so I was quiet but still respectful. |
3 | At school, I sat back and observed. This time, in one of my classes I actually enjoyed speaking with one of my groups, but I wasn’t 100% outspoken like how I was later that day when I was on the phone with my best friend. With her I made comments and jokes I know I wouldn’t make with just anyone |
4 | I wasn’t super focused at school, but once I got home I knew I had to do my chores since my dad was home. I knew I needed to address my responsibilities. |
5 | I was home all day, I don’t think I code-switched until I got to work and had to express extra enthusiasm. |
6 | I also stood at home all day I didn’t do much. |
7 | I stood home all day I didn’t find myself code-switching. |
Although code-switching is part of our everyday lives there often are times where we dont code-switch at all, these instances are just as common.
When I am at work, I tend to be more talkative and interact with my colleagues. I can relate to what you wrote about your friend and how you can make jokes with them that you wouldn’t make with anyone. I like the way you organized the log into a table.
