“What would you like to accomplish this semester?”
There are many things I would like to accomplish this semester as I’m transitioning from High School to College. I attended a relatively large High School but by the time I graduated it shrunk in number, with a graduating class of 60. Nevertheless, I made great connections with my classmates and teachers along the way helping each other to our postsecondary education journeys. I wish to do the same here at Baruch College, getting to know and build strong network connections. Another thing I realized after attending my first 2 weeks at Baruch College is how different the teaching environment is. Normally, the teachers at High School would present a topic and digest it to a level we can understand but here we have to do it ourselves. I’ve already gotten used to it but another thing that surprised me was how fast the coursework is. I have to admit that I wasn’t the best at managing my time at High School but now more than ever I’m obligated to do so, which is something that I’ll need to implement for the rest of my life. So yeah, developing efficient study skills and time management is one of the most crucial things I wish to accomplish by this semester.
I asked Abrar, “If you were to write a book, what would it be about?”
His response was writing a book about his family and how extended they are all over the globe, in addition on how it shaped him on who he is today(this would be a fictional book). Abrar talked on how each member of the family would talk to him on different cultures making him more open-minded on how the world is. I found it quite interesting because if that where the case then that book would be very long.

Although it’s never mentioned in the interview about a guitar, I decided to upload this image because I’m practicing the guitar and to do that I need time and to make time available I need to manage it well.
I agree with you immensely that transitioning from high school to college is a huge stepping stone for anyone. The teaching environment/pacing is also a struggle for me since professors go quick in their lectures. This is definitely a goal I should make for the semester, especially with time management and keeping up on top of assignments.
-It’s cool you’re trying new things with the Guitar.
