The black panther party was established in the late nineteenth hundreds to empower the black community. They helped out the community like giving breakfast to low class people of color. Elaine Brown was the chairwomen of the party from 1974-1977. She ran for city council twice in the Oakland the hometown. She was a professional writer for the L.A radical paper. Kathleen Cleaver she was a female revolutionary involved in civil rights movement she was an educated women who did public speaking. She joined the party after marrying Eldridge Cleaver who was an active member. They were divorced because he fled to other parts. Now she teaches at Yale. Angela Davis is a prominent feminist that has wrote a lot of books and lectured as a professor at colleges like UCLA. This shows how the black panther party was composed of highly educated people and not no Random’s who just wanted noise.
