Studio exercise 1: Building Blocks

I created a cylinder for the first assignment which was to design a block and upload it to Sketch Warehouse. The first picture in this post is my block – the cylinder. To create this block, I made a circle and used the “push/pull” tool to extend the circle into a cylinder.

The second picture is what I designed with multiple kind of blocks other people created and uploaded to Sketch Warehouse. Using multiple shapes of blocks, I designed red and white little animal figures, and a fence they live in. I mostly used the “move/copy” tool and the “rotate” tool to create this design.

I had a difficult time aligning all the shapes on the same plane. I suggest people to lay out all the shapes on a single plane before starting to build up the blocks.
