Building Blocks

At the beginning of the semester, SketchUp was my enemy and I really didn’t like working on it. When I started my midterm, a part of me wanted to fix up my building blocks project because I knew it was a disaster. However, I made the final decision not to because looking at the difference between my “Building Blocks” and my “Five by Five” assignment, you can really see that I made a huge improvement in designing and putting together things into SketchUp. I’m still no professional at rotating items, but I have gotten a better handle on a bunch of other aspects. During this time period, I wasn’t even aware that I would be capable of creating objects that would come out as nice as my Snapchat cookie cutter or my hexagonal vase. I think showing the raw edition of my Building Blocks is part of my growing process because I have physical proof that I have grown during my time in this class. It also shows me that it is okay to completely fail at something and bounce back to create something better!
