Personal Reflection

tumblr_nigc2cdqGN1tktluto1_500I’ve always been fascinated with technology, art and the business of it all. I strongly believe in making money from your passions and Art and it’s different facets, just happens to be mine. This course is the best of all three worlds. I came into this class, not knowing much about 3D printing but very eager to learn. Much to my surprise, it was a merged course with an entrepreneurial side – Right up my alley! As time went on, I wondered where the professors were going with all the work they had us doing; sooner than later it all made sense. When conceptualizing a new project, one must go through a few steps to get their desired result. The main challenge I’ve had in this class was trying to figure out how to use Sketchup. For example, getting the pieces in a design to sit directly on top of each other. Much like any art software, it took some getting used to, especially with the new addition of a Z-axis.

My main strengths in this course are for sure my conceptual and organizational skills. In both my professional and academic lives, these two attributes have gotten me far and the Building Community at Baruch project pushes me to utilize them. I know and I’ve been told that I have a unique perspective when it comes to art and visuals. I am currently and will continue to offer my different perspectives on design aesthetics and marketing for our project.
