Goal:
- Create layout, placements, structure, and presentation
- Organize and finalize information to be used in the article
- Write article
Process:
I reread the previous outline that I created and organized and finalized the information I would be using in the article. I decided to organize the information based on four categories, which I then color coded so that I could use it more easily when I wrote the actual article.
When writing the article, I cut out even more information that I felt would be unnecessary, going off on a tangent, or far too indepth (to the point that I would be delivering information that was way too complicated and detailed, and giving the reader too much to understand at once). My main goal when writing this article is to deliver clear information that will provide the reader with an overview of the subject. If I were to delve into all the particulars and do a deep dive, I may possibly be writing a chapter book.
Once I finished the article, I created a draft of the magazine layout. This included how I would present the information, the placements of images and text, etc. This is of course, subject to change since it is only a draft.
