The U.S has its rules for when they invade a country or to intervene in their affairs. These rules consist of building a more democratic, secure, prosperous world for the benefits of american people and international community. So basically they can invade a country to fight against communism if it threatens its democracy, to make sure trades abroad are safe, or to help a country out in battle.

In this video it shows why Obama intervened in Syria business. The leader had used chemical warfare on its people and Obama believed that if it wasn’t dealt with that more potential enemies would appear. So he sent an air strike to send a message so that they would never use chemical warfare again. This is an example of the U.S following the rules of the foreign policy and trying to secure Syria.
