N.B.A Going Global

Even as David Stern’s time as NBA Commissioner is coming to an end, his attempt to globalize the NBA has not. This year 28 percent of the games were being played in non-league locations. The Los Angeles Lakers,  Houstan Rockets, and Indiana Pacers have played in China, Philippines,  and Taiwan. This attempt to help grow the game globally is not so great to the players, team staff, and referees. “I look forward to the next generation of airplanes, ” said Adam Silver, the league’s deputy commissioner and chief operating officer. Planning these games is no easy task either. The overseas games required a large amount of planning. Preseason games overseas is major step in making basketball global.
