Yankees Must Change Ways to Return to Winning Form
The New York Yankees did not make the playoffs this year, and are about to watch the World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals begin on the 23rd of October. This year marks only the second time in the past 13 years the Yankees have not made it to the playoffs. The last time, being 2008, was followed by the Yankees 27th World Series in 2009 over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Bronx Bombers must also replace the best closer of all time, Mariano Rivera, and many other pieces in the lineup, along with resigning All Star second baseman Robinson Cano. The Yankees must rebuild to remain contenders in the AL East, one of the toughest divisions in all of baseball.
