For many years, air pollution has been an increasing problem all over the world. New York City in particular, is a heavily polluted city due to cars, construction, factories, and even garbage disposals. Who does this affect though? Well, according to a recent New York Times article, air pollution seems to affect babies by having a risking a decrease in their birth weight. This has an impact on future generations because low birth weight can be a marker of negative effects in adulthood. As air pollution increases, future generations have a greater percentage of having an unhealthy life.
