Recalling what I learned in writing 2100, I didn’t really learn much about what I need to improve on or what I need to start developing as a writer for myself. One aspect of the class that did help me understand what I need to work on in class was reading the work of others and reflecting on what they did in their writings and comparing the structure of it to mine. When reading pieces of others, you easily could tell which one was more academically correct and more structured. I need to strengthen my vocabulary tremendously and work on transitions between main points and simple background information to make the point stand out more. I believe whenever I try to make the point clear, I somehow get farther from what I’m really trying to say, making more difficult to understand what I was trying to state or expl I need to develop the voice and writing skills of an experienced writer so that you can clearly read their voice thoroughly through the opinion or piece that they have written. I want to sharpen my skills and structure them more than before and try to develop key details that make me distinguishable, to read and understand that Christian has written this. Those are my goals for this semester and other than that I need to practice more on my grammar and read over my writing from time to time because I rush very quickly and seem to make very dumb mistakes.
