Hi Team Instigator,
The first source you list here definitely qualifies as a “secondary source.” However, when I scan through I do not see a distinctly *historical* argument. It is important that you locate some articles and books that show what historical studies have already been done. What questions have been asked about the history of debates influencing elections? How have they been answered? For this, I recommend searching JSTOR with historical journals checked off in the advanced search. Let me know what you find there.
The second, third, and fourth sources you list are important resources for analyzing the role of debates in the 2012 elections, but they are collections of many sources (primary and secondary).

Hi professor, thanks for the feedback. I submitted the first one which was from JSTOR, i thought it gave some background info on the debates and how they came to life starting with Kennedy vs Nixon and it also states how debate performance affected outcome. But i do hope to find a secondary source with more pertinent info, for example this link may be more helpful. Do you recommend any other historical journals besides ones in JSTOR?
