Lucio Sanchez, 43, has worked in the Hunts Point Market located in the Bronx since 2002 as a helper, food distributor and delivery truck driver. He delivers fruits, vegetables and frozen foods to delis, restaurants, supermarkets and schools across New York City and Yonkers. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, essential workers continued to work in person while non-essential workers were ordered to follow a statewide stay-at-home order.
