“Football Equals a Concussion”

This article is about the National Football League agreeing to a $765 million lawsuit against the accusations of their knowledge about the dangers from helmet hits.

The league changed many rules in the last 5 years to make the game safer for players. You would be flagged, fined or suspended for illegal hits to the helmet of a defenseless player. The fines and lawsuit would be used for medical exams, concussion compensation, and medical research for retired players with brain trauma. This would lower the concussion rates because players don’t want to get fined or suspended. They either want to get paid or help their team win. This would mean less helmet to helmet hits in football games.

The settlement would provide the money for needy players and avoid potential claims and legal action in the future. It will also encourage other leagues like the NBA to get ahead of this as well.
