1) I am personally not too up to date on the issues of the wage gap. However, I have heard and seen a study that it is actually not true, and that women in the same industry as men tend to make around the same money. It is industry based. Could women possibly be coerced into staying out of these industries by our system?
2) Good questions. I just challenge you into diving deep into the idea of the wage gap. You are taking it as a concrete fact when it is still heavily debated and researched.

I think there is a lot of potential with this topic. I think it would be interesting to compare, not just gaps in income between men and women however, but to compare between different classes and ethnicities in general and to dive into why those disparities are there.
