1) In the beginning of the article, Dina refuses to put her trust in anyone even for a trust fall. Will this change later on and how will it impact her identity?
2) What type of relationship did she share with her father due to the information she shares about him? Could he be the incident in her life that impacted her trust?
3) How does the therapist help Dina find her true identity and help break down her barrier towards others?
2. From the information that is given in the article it doesn’t see like Dina and her father had the greatest relationship. It seems as if Dina’s father was abusive since she blames him for her mothers death. I believe that he could be a big reason why he doesn’t trust or interact with people.
1. As the story progresses we see a new character, Heidi, come into Dina’s life. At first, everything seems okay and Dina might even open up to Heidi. Even so, just when Dina and Heidi’s relationship deepens, Dina pushes Heidi away. I think Dina pushes anyone close to her as a way yo protect herself and not get hurt by others.
3. From what I understood, the therapist talks to Dina and tells her that she is pretending. Dina seems to make stories for each person she meets and pretends around them. Thus, hiding her true self from others. In the end, Dina didnt open up to Heidi and instead pushed her away, leaving her school as well.
