I recommend eating burgers. One of my favorite food items because of the accessibility, taste, and affordability. Nothing beats having juicy fresh meat placed on a bun. Melted cheese to help keep the burger intact. Lettuce and tomatoes to compliment the rich juices pouring out the medium well-cooked meat. Each bite gives off a rush of adrenaline flowing through my veins, the aroma of the burger alone makes my mouth water up. Each bite you take gives off a unique taste. The center of the burger is always the best bite; it’s where all the riches are located. You get the most bang for your buck with a simple burger, you can never go wrong with it.
I have a deep passion for burgers, even when going to restaurants with friends everyone would order fancy steaks and appealing dishes, but I would go with a simple classic burger. My parents told me when I was younger all I would ask for is burgers. As a kid, I begged my parents all the time to take me down to burger king for a whopper jr. I would continuously cry until they shoved a burger in my mouth. As I got older, my taste buds hated burgers from McDonald’s and burger king. During my lifetime, I probably had thousands of burgers from both fast-food chains. Currently, I enjoy burgers of quality from high-end chains such as shake shack, five guys, and local restaurants around the city. Before the pandemic, after a long day of working on aircraft, I would go to a local restaurant alone and sit at a table alone to enjoy a burger. Some people may view eating at a restaurant alone as kind of weird but, I like to treat myself alone with a burger after a long day of hard work. I go to these local food restaurants near Long island city so much that they just ask me “the same thing?” Sitting down and enjoying the view of the city with a burger is a calming experience. If you ever get a burger, make sure it’s cooked medium-well. If you order a well-done steak or burger, you might as well eat rocks instead, it ruins the flavor and tenderness of the meat. Medium well-cooked burgers are the way to go, it’s not too dry or too raw a perfect combination.
After basketball practice in middle school, burgers have always saved me in terms of affordability. In 8th grade, I had a seasonal basketball game, but I was on an empty stomach throughout the day and the game was starting in 20 minutes. I had only like $5 in my wallet, so I ran to the closest burger place and got 2 burgers. Nothing much you can really get with a $5 bill, burgers are always lifesavers when it comes to time and efficiency they get the job done. If you committed the sin of never having a burger, I suggest you try one as soon as possible you won’t regret it!
