Hello,
My name is Ishita Gupta and I’m majoring in Entrepreneurship. This is my second year at Baruch. I’m an upper sophomore.
I was born in India and moved to New York at a young age. I am a first-generation immigrant. I was brought up in Queens, and have lived there for 14 years. My entire family just recently moved to Canada, and I stayed back to complete my college education. I have been a vegetarian for 19 years, and I have been transitioning to veganism for about 2 months now. I am also transitioning to the Zero-Waste Lifestyle, I have been on this journey for about 7 months now. It has been a difficult transition, but it has made me a lot more aware of my actions and my carbon footprint.
I am trying to graduate in 3 and a half years and make the most of the college experience. I am currently the Vice President of Philanthropy of the Women in Business Organization here at Baruch. I am very passionate about giving back and am heavily involved in community service and volunteering. I enjoy traveling and living a sustainable life.
