On Tuesday, March 7th, Baruch’s Weissman School of Arts and Sciences held its 2017 Art-A-Thon. I personally never knew this existed at Baruch and was not sure what to expect for my first time. The day was filled with many different activities and classes from improv theater to bookmaking. I ended up attending the “Typewriter Rodeo”. I never actually used nor experienced a real old fashion typewriter before, so when I got to stop by I was really intrigued on the mechanics of the typewriter and how it was used. When I eventually got to sit down and use the typewriter, it really put in perspective how far we have come with technology and the struggles people faced when typing things in the past.
