I choose this picture because I can more clear differentiate the lamb and tiger, because for both poem the author use animal to represent in him poem, because when we think about lamb, we know lamb is milk, howevere when we think about tiger we know tiger is making people fear about tiger, in the poem lamb we know that you are lamb yu are the kids, make me feel really tender, however in tiger poem “What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?” we can know that the different between the lamb and the tiger, tiger make people scare of it, but lamb make people feel tender.

The poem that I picked is the ” The lamb ” by William Blake, because after I compare with these two poem, I think I have better understanding with this poem, that is why I picked this poem. The lines that really meaningful for me is in the first stanza line three it said ” Gave thee life, and bid thee feed By the stream and o’er the mead; Gave thee colthing of delight.” when i first reading this poem, I think about my mom,  she gave me the life and give me everything that she had, feed me when I was a child, I think this poem was really meaningful for me. This poem using lamb to describe the jesus, because in the poem it said ” He is called by thy name, For he calls himself a lamb.”  this poem meaning the jesus just like lamb, when jesus in the cross, lamb got killed, that is why they called jesus like lamb. This poem really make me thing a lot.

When I first reading this poem, I just have one thought in my mind, it’s really long poem for me compare to me the poem that I read before, and after I begin to read, I start to realize the poem was really hard for me to understand because first this is not my first language for me to understand, and the vocabulary in the poem using was really hard, so I have to use translator to translate some words for me to continue to read, for some part I have to read double time, even I translate the words after. For example in stanza 3 “ Hope humbly then; with trembling pinions soar, wait the great teacher Death; and God adore.” It was really hard for me to understand the meaning of the sentence, and the period during the line really made me confused, and the word that they chose in the line was so advanced for me. However, in the poem that I know we should not stop looking the world outside us, we can not just stay the surrounding around us, we should keep looking the world far away from us, and in the specific stand number three that I know how you make yourself happy is that the heaven should make you happier than whatever in down on earth and you should have hope for that,  the happiness that you have is join the happiness that you have right now, the more thing that you discover you will help me people in the future and I think you should enjoy yourself to continue looking for new thing, in the poem, regious can help you better with this, it can encourage yourself to keep looking for things, and you should not stop that. Even this poem was really hard for me, but I still spend a lot of time on it, try to understand it, and get some excitation from this poem.

In the aticle it said: ” That devil has put you under its spell because you are good looking.” he told Toyo-o.” You have been bewitched by the beauty of the temporary abode of the serpent. You must develop a more manly, a more determind spirit, which you now lack, in order to repulse it. By so doing you will not need yo rely on my powers to cast off the devil. You must never tield yo temptations of passion and lust.” In this part, it shows even you have a beauty appearance outlook, evertyone will love your appearance because you look good, but you have to have inside, to make yourself strong, and even you look good, but the snake also have the potenyial to kill you, I think the author using this symbol to describe two meaning, one you can have good look and everyone will love it, but you might also kill otherpeople in a second, and you have good appearance, but you have to have good and positive inside.

Hi, my name is Zijie Lu, I am a sophomore at Baruch college, I am graduate from Francis Lewis in Fresh Meadow, I am major in market management, the reason why I choose this major because I think this major going to help me alot in the future, going to help me with my work, and also I can learn a lot from this major. I feel really panic during this Covid-19 period, because I need to stay at home for a long time, I can not go back to China to see my grandfather and grandmother, I can not go travel to other countries. However during this time period I can spend more time with my dad and mom, I have more time to spend with my little brother, I can have fun with him, he is five years old, so I really love to have fun with him. I really love to go to the gym, because I think exercise will help me stay in shape, and keep me in good body condition. I like running and swimming, I think this will help me alot. I watched a movie before, called “Spanglish ” by James L Brooks. In this movie, it talking about the girl and her mom immigrant to United States, and the child know how to speak English, and her mom does not know, one day the child make a mistake in school, however her child lie to her mom, and the mom even don’t know her child lie to her, and her mom  does know what the people are talking about, I think this is very miserable for them, being a mom does not know the child was lie to her, and does not know what exactly happened in school. This influenced me because I am also an immigrant, I can feel this, and this movie also influenced me to learn another language to help me with anything. And influence to learn better with another language. Language is not just a language, it’s a country’s culture.
