Assignment #6

I choose this picture because I can more clear differentiate the lamb and tiger, because for both poem the author use animal to represent in him poem, because when we think about lamb, we know lamb is milk, howevere when we think about tiger we know tiger is making people fear about tiger, in the poem lamb we know that you are lamb yu are the kids, make me feel really tender, however in tiger poem “What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?” we can know that the different between the lamb and the tiger, tiger make people scare of it, but lamb make people feel tender.

Zijie, Thanks for these pictures, but the assignment was asking you to look at how Blake himself illustrated his poems. You can see examples of this in your classmates’ posts. I agree that it makes sense to compare “The Lamb” and “The Tyger.” One thing I would add to what you’ve said about tigers above is that the tiger is not just frighting; tigers are also beautiful to behold. So when the speaker in Blake’s poem asks about how the tiger came to be, he is not just wondering what kind of creator would create something so fearsome; he is also asking how such a beautiful and powerful creature came to be.
