Favorite Enrichment Workshop – Cole Dybec

Published by at 2:33 PM under Uncategorized

Of all the enrichment workshops, the one that influenced me the most was Definitely the Rubin Museum. I am definitely a lover of art and museums. Whenever I get the chance I try to do things related to art as much as I can, whether it be paintings, music, or food, which are all things I consider art. Being a student has so many benefits in the art world. There are student discounts on plays and music performances, and museums like the Rubin Museum and the Museum of Modern Art let Baruch students in for free. Specifically the art in the Rubin Museum fascinates me because it goes so deep into the culture of the area it is from. Places like China, Tibet, and India are so rich in culture, and have been around for so much time, allowing their culture and art to deeply grow. I’m glad that there is a museum so close (and free) that’s offers access to that. New York is the place to be for art and culture, and the Rubin Museum is a true contributor to that.
