Presentation1
The first picture shows the instrument I play which is the Trumpet. I’ve been playing Trumpet since 6th grade. The 2nd picture shows that I like to sleep. I can fall asleep anywhere. The next picture shows me playing basketball. That is my most enjoyable hobby. The 4th picture shows me wearing my ghostbusters sweater and my green socks. My friends know me for those two things. The next picture shows that I will wear anything for a good laugh. The 6th picture is of me sticking my tongue out. I don’t know why but I do that in so many pictures. It’s like the only pose I know. The 7th picture shows that I just enjoy having fun. The final picture shows my love for traveling. I’ve been to Australia, China, and Europe.

My playlist: play.spotify.com/user/marcink95/playlist/6XJxh9nAruqrdkTGpAjpUz

These songs make up who I am. They are all from a different genres because I like different kinds of music. I don’t like to stick to one genre because each one of them has something special to offer. I picked  Michael Jackson’s Beat it because it was the first Michael Jackson song that caught my attention.I like Rammstein because they are the only band I listen to thats in a language besides English  Robot Rock is a good electronica song. Can’t Stop is a fun to listen to. Lose yourself is one of Eminem’s best. Fight for Your Right  has funny lyrics that aren’t to hard to memorize.

The following songs should give a rough depiction of what type of person I may be. Songs not mentioned kinda speak for themselves.

Stronger: This song has been a long time favorite of mine since it 1st released, “that don’t kill me can only make me stronger” is the most memorable portion. In life there are always complications, burdens, etc. that weigh us down.

Words I never said: I find Lupe to be one of the most intellectual rappers, his lyrics get me thinking more than others. Towards the end he says “We scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth”. Truthfulness should come easy, though it’s sadly less common then the frequented lies or deception. I feel as if honesty isn’t valued as it should be, while I’m not perfect—I believe it shouldn’t be a challenge for people to express such a thing.

Fire: With Fire I think about how I strive to not let life kick me down and whatnot. Sean talks about working and being productive is a major part of my life. It’s important to always remain productive because there’s no time to be stagnant in this world.

You Don’t Know: When I listen to this song it causes me to think about the people in my life that are completely oblivious to how their actions and words affect me. While I’m aware everyone can’t be insightful, it’s still troubling to know you can’t fix everything.

Successful: Becoming successful is definitely a goal recognized by all, I need success for everything I engage in. It’s unacceptable to do anything besides being successful, at least in my opinion.

Demons: Everyone has aspects of their life that they aren’t happy about, which one could dub Demons. These things also influence us and how we interact with others. Most won’t share such topics, but I still feel it’s important to acknowledge that they exist in all of us.

Made In America: Like Jay-Z, I possess a close relationship with my grandmother. Many mistake her as my mother because of this. Also the song makes me think of my grandmother’s cooking, which I prefer over anything. She’s the only person that likes cooking for a picky eater like me.

Music Preferences

This is the playlist i made  https://play.spotify.com/user/1267232039/playlist/2OHLNl4iGliKO6ADiBHC4F

These select few songs were chosen by me since their play count on my itunes was very high. I feel like a lot of these songs might even speak to me. The first song “as the rush comes” is a very relaxing song that describes life perfectly: Life goes on. “Smile” by Eyedea is another great song about getting over horrifying events and everything that’s wrong with the world. “Despite the wars founded by the rich, funded by the poor, kids barely eighteen are dying so billionaires can make more Elsewhere hungry mothers watch their babies stave to death in a beat up shack on the third floor.” This line probably describes the world perfectly. “The world is yours” and “I wanna be sedated” are classics; The Ramones are just great. “Sunshine” and “It was a good day” are songs I’ve enjoyed listening to on some of my best days. “How eye one the right to think” also speaks about the importance of critical thinking and making up your own opinion about anything. “Snow” by RHCP is another great relaxing song, RHCP is probably my favorite band of all time. “Slippin” by dmx is a song more about those darker days when you’re feeling down.

8 Picture Slideshow

I created a 8 picture slideshow to represent who I am to my classmates. The theme of this slideshow is New York City since I feel that it represents me the most. The pictures of New York City resembles the places I have spent my past 18 yrs in. I believe that this simple slideshow can strongly express who I am through the environment I’ve grown up in. I grew up in Queens, New York and have lived there for the past 18 years. I have attended school in Queens, the Bronx, and currently Manhattan. I believe that New York City have influenced me to become who I am today.

I made a playlist to represent who I think I am to my classmates. The first song I put on the playlist is We Own It by Wiz Khalifa because the people that don’t know me usually think I’m a cocky person and I honestly have no idea why. In high school I had that image from people I did not know so I’m guessing it’s the same for my classmates because they don’t know me that well yet. The next song I put is Wake Me Up because I’m a freshman and since college is a new experience it’s all about finding myself and I’m sure a lot of my classmates have the same feeling about college as I do. The next song by Armin Van Buuren is basically the same as the one before when it comes to the reasoning as to why I chose it in the playlist. The Tiesto Get Loose remix is all about dancing to the music and I go to concerts and raves and I’ve been asked my classmates if I go, so I know they imagine me as the kid that loves to party. Wild Boy by MGK is the same idea that I look like the type of person who loves to party and stuff and I do so I guess my classmates see that. Summertime sadness represents who I am because I’m leaving my past behind me and it’s sad, but the future is bright. The other songs are there because they show the different genres of music I like and that I listen to different music depending on my mood.
