New York Times Project Follow-Up

Professor Anonymous,

I am sorry to inform you that I have became ill and will be forced to miss the next class. This comes in a very bad time as the mid-term will be taken next week. I would really appreciate if you can find a situation in which you would allow me to make up the mid-term as it is a vital part of our grade. I am in no condition to come to class and the doctor has told me I am highly contagious. I hope to get well soon and be back in class as soon as possible. Once again, I would really appreciate if you can email me back with a solution to the tough situation I am in, forcing me to miss the mid-term.

Thank-you, Harindu Migelratne

We selected New York Times article to resemble the diversity found in America. People of many different ethnicities and people with different tastes. We chose articles of science, sports, and many other subjects. Baruch college is just like America as it is very diverse. The students that attend the school and the adults working here are very different and that kind of diversity is good for the school and the world.

I learned something very important from doing this project. I thought the project was due a week before so I finished it the Monday before. I learned that I should tell myself an assignment is due earlier than it really is so I can get it over with quickly. I usually procrastinate and wait until the last minute to do my assignments but doing it this way will give me time to finish the assignment and do other things.
