New York Times Follow Up Project

Dear Professor Naismith ,

I am sending this to inform you about my illness that caused me to miss class last week. I inherited sickle cell trait from my parents and therefore it is very easy for me to fall ill. I was hospitalized for two days and was very upset that I had to miss the midterm. I have the doctor’s notes that state that I was indeed in no condition to attend class. I would please like the opportunity to make up the test because the adverse effect will drop my grade significantly. I have the paperwork or any documents that you will need to make your decision.

My group chose to do the business theme seeing as we attend a business school. 
We wanted a broad range of things business covered not only the typical stock 
market kind of thing. We touched base on how business affected sports, fashion 
and entertainment. After this assignment I realized how much work we had to do 
in public speaking. Even though it was impromptu all the groups struggled with 
their public speaking. The use of "like" and "um" seemed inevitable as each 
group presented their project. A lot of us didn't keep eye contact with the 
audience and kept their gaze on the projected image or computer. Looking into 
the class there were a Lot of uninterested faces maybe because of the monotonous 
voices we were talking in or the repetitive themes.
