Arts In The City

What really amazes me about New York City is the accessibility to art. Whether it be graffiti or some 80,000 dollar painting, New York is the home to aspiring and established artists. Luckily there is an art gallery right by my school, although small, it resonates with its own unique personality. The pictures were candid and hyper-realistic; not in the superficial sense but in what the images portrayed. Pictures of branded ex-slaves, and racism grace these walls. In the end the gallery was interesting in the sense that such art is readily available to the public.
