Enrichment in Art Photography
I found the enrichment workshop to be very interesting and intriguing. Ever since I was young, I enjoyed visiting art museums and galleries. I was surprised to learn that we had an art gallery at the Mason Hall. Initially, I was excited to see what kinds of art the hall would have, but I was disappointed by the size of it. Although I knew I should have not expected much, I was taken aback because it was only a mere room with a few walls to create sections. Despite my disappointment, I tried to appreciate the few pieces they did have. I enjoyed the theme of photography art because I believe it is an understated form of art. The woman (whom I forgot the name of) that guided us through the gallery was a professional in photography art and selected many of the pieces that were displayed. She was obviously very passionate about art which inspired me because I hope to find a career path that engages my interests as well. My favorite pieces were the ones included in the theme of landscaping and the human body. In this section, there were photos of landscapes alongside photos of the human body. The purpose of this, the woman explained, was to reflect how beautiful the nature of the human body is and how in a way, it is also like a landscape. This visit touched me because I was inspired by the effort to keep the appreciation for art alive.
