College – A Road to Opportunity

Coming into College you might think you’ve got it all figured out. “I’m going to take this class, get into this club, major in this..” NO. You’re completely wrong. Why you might ask? Because it happened to me. College opens your eyes to the broad spectrum of opportunity the world has to offer. It exposes you to so many walks of life because at 18 you DONT know what you want to do for the rest of your life. In terms of Baruch, Baruch is a greatly diversified city school which I believe to be the one and only threshold to the business world, as well as other career paths such as liberal arts and science. Baruch IS business, it might not have the fanciest campus, best parties, or greatest cafeteria (which in my opinion is amazing) but it WILL help you to succeed as long as you work hard enough for it. I learned this in my first three months here at Baruch, for since day one, there was always something happening. Baruch does not take a day off from supporting its students and that’s what I think a business student, or any student for that matter, needs in their corner. It is a school that will push you to strive for your best and aim for success. When you attend Baruch, Baruch isn’t working for anyone but you.
