Songs that describe me

This playlist includes all of my favorite songs that I feel describe who I am. Most of these songs are upbeat and make me rock to it whenever I listen to them. All of them have significant meaning to me in its own way. For instance, “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter reminds me of the days where I am down/upset and nothing seems to go my way. “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson reminds me to be proud of myself and to have some self-confidence. The lyrics “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger” are a motivation for me to ignore any insults that come my way because they are just words. 2NE1’s “Don’t Stop the Music” expresses my love for music, and how I (probably) couldn’t live a day without it. Despite my lack of leisure time, at least I have the time to listen to music on my train ride to school every morning. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” reminds me of some of the “bad” decisions I have made in the past, such as making friends with people. I once treated someone too well, and I thought of her as a good friend, but when we both started high school, she suddenly cut me out of her life, without a decent explanation. The song also teaches me to be more careful when making new friends. Other songs on my playlist, such as “As Long As You Love Me” by the Backstreet Boys, Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”, and Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” are favorites of mine because of the meaningful lyrics each song has: they all relate to someone being in love/hate relationships. I am a fan of romantic comedies, so I like songs that relate to love. “What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)” by the Backstreet Boys is a song I love listening to because it has a soothing tune to it, and the lyrics itself are self-motivating as well. A majority of these songs are kind of old (early 2000s), but they are all songs I love going back to listen to because they are just THAT good. These songs are songs that reflect my past, how I get through each day, and how I will make decisions that I may or may not regret.
