blog post #2

Our New York Times front page focused on recycling since it is both related to Baruch and the world. Global warming is one of the problematic issues in today’s society. In order to reduce waste and possibility for further pollution on earth, we decided to introduce articles about recycling. We hoped the readers will learn from our front page and start making effort to recycle. After writing about recycling in Baruch, I became more aware of reducing in school.

My name is YunJeong Kim and I was born in Seoul, South Korea. My family and I came to United States when I was in 3rd grade by taking the Korean Air airplane. It is one of the most popular airlines in Asia. In United States, I lived in different towns, including Fort Lee, where a lot of Koreans live, and West Orange, where is located near Newark. I am currently living in Piermont, NY, and commuting to Baruch everyday. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to commute and I have to hurry myself to take the bus in early morning. Although it was very tiring during the first several days of school, I am now getting used to it. I always dreamed of going to an art school and becoming an interior designer, but I changed my career plan in senior year of high school. The next three pictures are the albums of my favorite singers. I loved Jason Mraz since the day I first heard his music on Youtube when I was in middle school. Next picture is an album of Bigbang, one of the most popular singing groups in South Korea. Last year, I went to their concert in New Jersey and it was amazing. I downloaded every albums of them and only listened to their songs for a month. Currently, I am more interested in listening to Korean Hip Hop than idol groups’ music. Last one is an album of Primary, one of the well known music writers in Korean Hip Hop. I also included a picture of baking materials to show my interest in baking. I found recipes online and baked many cookies, macaroons, and cupcakes whenever I had time to do so. I hope these pictures well described who I am to the classmates.
