The New York Times project topic that my group and I chose was transportation. The reason why we chose this topic is because it has a lot of variations and articles to cover on the newspaper itself, (e.g.- airplane accidents, train accidents, ships, etc.) Another reason why we chose this topic was because it is relevant to almost everyone in the class; they all have to commute to school and most of the class have a rather long commute ranging from 30 plus minutes every school day. The last reason why we chose transportation was because it would be easier to make the article that was related to Baruch on it; there was a signal problem with the subway at DeKalb Ave which caused a lot of students in the class to be late that morning. These are the reasons why we chose transportation as our topic.

10 songs that speaks to who i am are here: http://grooveshark.com/#!/playlist/Project/90663702
I like a variety of songs but i think that peaceful and easy going songs fit my personality the most. I like the sound of classical instruments a lot. Most of these songs have a soft beat and it matches me very well. I think that i have a very soft presence; In other words, I don’t get noticed much and I don’t stand out because of it. I don’t really interact with people much either, that is why I have less friends than other people in my class. On the first two days of classes, I didn’t speak to anyone at all. I didn’t meet any friends until my 4th day in class. I think this is due to the fact that I’m a single child and don’t really know how to interact with other people as much as other people who have a sibling to talk to. Once I make friends with other people I open up to them a lot. When I’m alone I don’t like to talk much or smile. But, when I have friends with me I talk more and laugh more as well. These are the reasons why I feel that these soft songs represent me well.
