mononononononononologue – Victor Wong

The transition from high school to college has been a struggle. It was such a mistake to stay in the city for college. All the friends I was used to seeing everyday went and left. It didn’t really hit me until college actually started, and the sense of loneliness set in. I was actually so unhappy with my choice to stay in the city. Being in Baruch feels too much like high school again, but without the familiar faces. Right after the first day of class, I decided that I wanted to see if I could transfer to Binghamton University for the spring term. So I literally started and made my application on August 29th. It was that bad for me.  I feel like I’m missing out on so much by going to a commuter school.

I’ve already visited my friends a couple of times at Bing, and it just seems so much better compared to Baruch. The food is cheap, the campus is nice, and the freedom is great. It also seems like it’s much easier to make friends and socialize when you dorm. I’ve already made some good friends here at Baruch, but I still feel I’d be better off going to school elsewhere.

Now I just have to do well in school and wait for their response to my application after November 1st. I really hope I get accepted.

Assignment 1 – Victor Wong

Autumn is my favorite season because the weather is all nice and cool. Not too hot and not too cold. Also because it’s a time when I’m not really affected by my allergies.
Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. Being able to make food and have people really enjoy it is a reward in itself. It could be a little pricey though.
Potatoes have got to be one of my favorite foods. They’re just so versatile and can be prepared in so many different ways. You can make them in fries, hashbrowns, mashed potatoes, all sorts of different dishes. And they all taste good.
I love Power Rangers. Don’t hate. I grew up watching them and they’ll always be my favorite TV Show. I’ll never not want to be a Power Ranger myself.
Although this movie came out recently this summer, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has got to be one of my favorite films. Even if I didn’t like super heroes as much as I did, I’m pretty sure no one could not enjoy this film. The film was just so great and humorous that I’d even watch it again.
I used to hate roller coasters to the point where I’d want nothing to do with them. But after experiencing them first hand, I’ve come to love them and now I’m down to ride any thrill ride.
My favorite superhero of all time has got to be The Flash, the fastest man alive. He can move, think, and react at light speeds as well as having superhuman endurance that allows them to run incredible distances. He can also make tornadoes with his limbs. What’s not to like about him?
David So is one of my favorite comedians. Whenever I’m bored I always find myself watching his videos. He’s relatively youtube famous, but not that famous, and that’s a surprise. He is so genuinely funny and so down to earth that I don’t understand how anyone would not like him.
