Moustafa Ismail
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog post! I chose these pictures because they perfectly describe my character, values, and hobbies. My name is Moustafa Ismail, a 17 year old born in Cairo, Egypt. I chose to attend Baruch because of it’s high rank amongst business schools and wish to pursue a career in investment banking on Wall street. The one thing I value the most is family. In fact, my favorite part of the day is when I sit down and enjoy dinner with my family while sharing stories and telling jokes. At that moment, I forget about all my problems and stresses of the day, and become relaxed as I am surrounded by my dearest people. My father is my biggest role model. When he was only 19, he came to America alone and worked three jobs in order to raise enough money to ensure that my siblings and I would live comfortably. My ultimate goal in life is to one day repay him for all that he has given me and much more. I also consider my best friends to be apart of my family. Since childhood, we have remained the same group and continue to strengthen our already unbreakable bond. From the moment we finish school on Friday, we immediately meet up and hang out until school resumes the next week. One of our favorite things to do as a group is fishing. The fish seen in the picture above is a 47 pound Striped Bass, the biggest I have ever caught. By the time I reeled it in, my arm was ready to fall off! Every Sunday during the fall, my friends come over to watch the week’s best football game. Everyone brings food and we all have a great time crowding around the television and enjoying each others company. My favorite team is the New York Giants. Although the Giants haven’t been doing well lately, I remain a die-hard fan and carry an optimistic attitude every Sunday. Recently, my mom would come home late from work late and ask me to make dinner. This led to me picking up one of my favorite hobbies today. I began to like cooking when I saw my family enjoying something that I made from scratch. This made me eager to try new recipes and before I knew it I began experimenting in the kitchen and making new dishes which is now my favorite thing to do whenever I am bored at home. Every Summer, I make the trip back to my home town. I take great pride in being Egyptian and enjoy going back to relive my childhood memories with my extended family. When it is time to leave, I look down on my country from the plane window and cannot help but feel as if I am leaving a piece of my heart behind.
Thanks for your time!
