Hard Work and a Little Help From my Friends

Greetings everyone!
I can’t imagine how many people are still going to remember to do this, let alone look at other people’s postings, but here is mine: an image of one of my friends. We all make funny memes of each other and this one appeared on the walls of Facebook just recently. Not only is it funny, but it also relates to the rest of what I’m writing about!

These past 3 months have been incredible. It seems like they’ve flown by, and yet they feel like they’ve gone on forever. I’ve learned a number of valuable things this semester. Most notably, I’ve learn that to succeed you must be really good at getting stuff done. College and anything really, isn’t a matter of how “hard” the work is but rather your ability to get it done. Those who procrastinate, fear, or forget stuff usually don’t have it any “harder” than anyone else; they just don’t do the work as it is given to them. So I’ve definitely affected my working habits not only to spend more time on homework, but to also be able to hang out with friends, sleep, and enjoy myself with the time these new habits allow.

I’ve also made more, new, and different friends this semester. I haven’t really reached a level greater than close acquaintanceship with anyone, but after all it is my first semester and there’s always time to develop these friendships. Thirdly, I really enjoy the freedom I’ve discovered throughout this semester; spending more time in the city, with the potential to do anything I want, is great.

Well that seems to be all of the things I could come up with, so to those I don’t see as much anymore, have a good one, good luck, and enjoy the month off!

Everyone, Hello!

Hello everybody!

So before I get into the good stuff, this is Edwin talking. So hi

It’s been a few days since I made that video, so I don’t remember that much of what I said in it. For a few years, from when I was about 13 or 14, to around 16, I maintained a fairly actively YouTube channel. This entailed making videos of me playing guitar, funny videos, and whatever I felt like talking about at the time. Also, during the tail end of 2012 and beginning of 2013, I provided an internet personality on several Facebook humor pages. This also involved making and posting videos. So as you can tell, I have some experience doing that.

I’m really not all that sure what is really *wanted* in all of this, so I suppose I’ll speak about myself for a bit. I’m a college freshman and, like anyone else, I’m learning the ropes and adapting to this new environment. It’s very different from high school, in a good way. Throughout the past few weeks, I’ve started becoming more efficient in my school work to the point where even the work is starting to be a fun activity.

If you want to have a fulfilling life, or at least avoid having a terrible one, you have to “enjoy the process”. That’s all that life is: a process. Life is cleaning your house on a Saturday instead of hanging out. And even if you do end up hanging out, life is sitting uncomfortably on the train ride home. Life is more mundane than interesting, at least in the beginning stages of forming your desires and passions. By learning to enjoy the less glamorous moments of life, your entire experience is greatly increased. I’m only starting to realize this, and I’ve already felt a difference. But enough of this esoteric stuff that’ll probably just fly over your head anyway.

In all of this, I hope that everyone enjoyed writing their blog posts; I surely enjoyed writing and making my post.
