I awake in a daze.  My alarm goes off and the morning sun shines into my eyes.  I am reluctant to move my tired body but I know I have to get up. 

I am in a complete fog as I journey to my bathroom where I splash my face with glacial, cold water—still in a slumber.  I brush my teeth and I wash my hands and stroll back to my bedroom.  I open my closet, get dressed, and tread downstairs.  It is not until I step foot into my kitchen that I am fully aware of my surroundings. 

I look up and there she is. 

The sole purpose of my awakening; the reason I am cognizant of the world. My espresso machine.

As I walk her way, I gaze at her glory.  She is the one.  I look up into my cabinets and choose the vessel for which her nectar shall rest.  Shall I go with a simple, clear mug, or the classy slate gray?  I go with the clear.  I drop a teaspoon of sugar at the bottom of the mug, to my taste.  I open the chest of capsules and the array of colors entices my senses.  Shall I choose the golden hazelnut, or the black roast? My palate craves the black, bold espresso capsule and I place it into its rightful place.  I then walk to the refrigerator where I retrieve the light cream and pour it into the apparatus.

I choose the “cappuccino” option and I let her work her magic.  Out comes a sweltering hot shot of espresso followed by a profusion of frothed and steamed cream, another shot of espresso then follows for the grand finale.

The aroma fills the air and my senses are satisfied.  I lift the warm remedy to my lips and my day becomes a reality.

During my 6th grade, my social studies teacher invited me to go to a camping trip because I was a good student in her class. I wasn’t that interested in the trip because I never went to any camping trip before, so I declined the camping trip.

Later that day, one of my classmates who is also my neighbor came to my house and give my dad the form to the camping trip. We filled out the form knowing that he would expect me to go to the trip.

After the weekend, I brought the form with me to school. The first period of the school day after AM homeroom was Gym. I thought that I wasn’t interested in the trip, so I wet the form in the water fountain and later ripped the form into pieces. Later that day, I told teachers and students that I wasn’t interested and I had plans for other activities. The classmate who live near me heard this.

One day when I was walking home from my after school class, the classmate chased me to my home. He told my grandpa that I ripped up the form and am not going to the camping trip. When he left, I lied to my grandpa that I was going.

One evening, when my father picked me, my grandpa, and the classmate from the after school, the classmate told my dad that I ripped up the form and was not going to the trip. My dad tried to punish me but the classmate told my dad that there is school.

On the day before the trip, the students who were going to the trip were given a list of items to bring to the camp. I kept quiet because I don’t want to tell the teacher that I wasn’t going.

“Stronger” is one of kanye west’s best songs in his career. It is a song about pushing through adversity and never giving up. Even when things don’t go your way or it seems like someone is stopping you from completing your goals you have to keep your mind on the prize and not let anything stand in your way.
The original version of “Good Life” was so successful one republic reached out to B.o.B. to do a remix. This song is about being thankful for what life has given you and that the little bad things that happen to all of us are not important in the big picture.
“Unnecessary” is one of Childish Gambino’s early works that got him recognized by other artists as a serious musician. He is discussing the lavish life that most upper class artists live and he is saying it is all unnecessary. While most people are just trying to make ends meet.
“Trophies” is one of Drakes newer songs coming out in 2014. He raps about having to take care of his friends and family and not expecting a reward for it. This relates to having responsibilities in life and having to do them without wanting anything in return.
“Am I Wrong” is the song that Nico & Vinz are known for. It is about being an individual and even if the crowd is flocking towards one road it is sometimes better to choose your own way and follow your own ideas.
“The show goes on” is the feature song on Lupe Fiasco’s “Laser” album. It is about overcoming your upbringing and bettering yourself no matter what. Even growing up with unfortunate circumstances if you work hard enough you can do anything.
“Words I never said” is another song off Lupe Fiasco’s “Laser.” He speaks about not always following what you are told and to always try to be a free thinker.
“Heaven or hell” is one of Meek millz’es newest songs. He talks about how life can either go great or can go terrible, but you can shape that future, good or bad, if you put enough work into whatever your dream is.
“Dollar and a dream III” is an older song from J.Cole coming out on his freshman album. He talks about his recent life and how hard it is to be on the road on constantly away from friends and family. However he continues to work in the music business because it his dream and nothing will get in his way.
“Kids” is an old song from Childish Gambino coming off his first album. It is a song about growing up and leaving your childhood behind, but at the same time never forsaking your roots.

Who Am I
I want to apologize for the little amount of creativity in my blog post but I have never been such a creative person. I did a eight image slideshow for my blog post. My first image show myself on nerd day and I wanted to show how I am someone who loves to have fun and mess around because I have a really free spirit. My second image shows how to me volleyball is my biggest passion and I could never get enough of it. My third image is meant to show how I value friendship very dearly and am always looking to make new friends and share memories with them. My fourth image is showing how I am a vivid Mets fan and overall enjoy watching and playing sports. My fifth image shows my favorite spot to go which is the beach because overall I love to swim and play beach volleyball. My six image shows how even though I dislike math it is my strongest subject and the reason why I chose baruch as my college due to its many majors where math can apply such as accounting. My seventh image shows my favorite band which is avenged sevenfold but I am open to all types of music. My final image shows me with the love of my life and I mainly added that because I had no idea what to add anymore. So yep that’s who I am.

When you listen to these ten songs, you’ll find most of them are slow and calm.
I like loud and up-tempo music too, but I like these type of songs better.

Jeff Bernat is one of my favorite singer. Some people say most of his songs sound similar, but I still love his songs. He has a nice voice and I used to listen to his songs before I go to sleep.

As a Korean, I like to listen to Korean songs too. My favorite Korean singer is Primary. I thought he was a genius until he got caught copying one song. I got so disappointed in him, but I still hope that he comes back with his own song.

I think those 10 songs above describe me well since I don’t like loud place and I like to have my own time to think sometimes.

I wanted to start off with something that’s very obvious about me when someone first meets me. I am a laid back person who rarely takes anything seriously. I’m always laughing or making a joke. Most people think my jokes are corny, however I know they secretly love them. Along with the laughing side of me, I am also very sarcastic. I never mean it in a rude way, but rather to sometimes lighten up the mood or make someone laugh. I love making people smile even if it means taking me to do weird and silly things. Moving forward, the next slide depicts some quotes that represent me as a person. I think of myself to be a risk taker. If I see an opportunity, I take it. Although you make get hurt along the way, it helps you grow as a person and experience new things. The top quote is one of my favorite quotes. I’ve done a lot of things in the past, good and bad, however I do not regret any of it because I know it was something that I wanted at that specific time. I’m the type of person that if the results don’t come out the way I expected, then I try my best to get back up and keep going. The next slide simply shows how traditional I am and how much I love my culture. I love dressing up in traditional clothes for special occasions. I also love dancing. The three pictures on the next slide are from dance shows that I participated in during high school. In high school I was in the Dance Club and I had so much fun trying out new things and learning different dances such as hip hop, ballet, and Bollywood. If you know me, then you must also know how much I love taking pictures, which pretty much explains the next slide. Along with selfies I love taking pictures of friends, places and of course, food. I don’t think there is a single day that goes by where I don’t at least take one selfie. While I love taking pictures, something I really strongly dislike to do is reading. I will do anything you ask me to do, but read. Although I hate reading, it’s one of the things I am asked to do a lot for college, so I have to force myself. The next slide includes just a few random things about me. I am a short curly haired middle child. Despite how annoying it may sometimes get to be short or to be a middle child or even have curly hair, I am happy to be these things because it’s what makes me, me ! Lastly, I put together three dreams or goals that I would like to accomplish or achieve. These include a vacation in Paris, skydiving and meeting the handsome star, Ian Somerhalder, who is an actor in one of my favorite shows, The Vampire Diaries!

To try and describe who you are in 8 slides or even no more than 500 words would be a challenge for anyone. In my 8 image slide show, I tried to give the viewer a glimpse of who I am. Throughout the slides, I show pictures of my family, friends, hobbies, and just stuff that is special to me. Through the images I selected, I feel I was able to represent and describe myself pretty well. The things I chose to put in my slideshow each hold their own special meaning to me. Each slide has a description of why I chose that topic to describe myself.
