Running and panting to the train station, sweat dripping down my face I was on the verge to be late for the first time in college. After finally entering the E train I felt like I had just enough time to make it to class. Unfortunately there were delays, so getting to one station which normally took five minutes took ten minutes. Nevertheless, hoping to still make it on time I sprinted to the 6 train and to just my luck there was 500 people waiting, it was crazy. People were pushing their way inside everything was full, but I was determined to get inside. Me and my large backpack unbelievably fit with help of the guy in back of me pushing to get through. The train was so crowded, people coughing and sneezing it was not a pleasant experience. After most people got off 42nd street I found a seat checked the time on my phone and it was 9:31, class started 9:30; bummer. Walking inside class expecting to have been marked late I take my seat. A few minutes later I find out he did not take attendance, what a relief.
Living a block away from high school I was accustomed to a forty five second commute. That has all changed with college consisting of a forty five minute to an hour commute. Hopefully I will get used to my commute within the next few years.
