Some good deeds are seemingly small things. One thing I always keeep in mind is that however small the deed may seem, it can be a huge lifechanger for the person who I help. This week I did something that i would consider a good deed, others may consider it a crime. In order to commute to and from school I need to take the train. A few days ago i was going through the turnstile at the subway. Right while i was passing through there was this homeless man trying to get through the alarmed subway door. He had no metrocard or money and was asking people to open up the alarmed door for him so he could pass through. All the people who went through the turnstile looked at him and just ignored him and went on their way.  When it was my turn to go through the turnstile I made eye contact with the man and he pointed towards the door. I nodded back to him that I would do it. Once on the other sie of the turnstile I looked both ways to make sure there was no police officers. Then I gave the door a small push open and the homeless man walked through. The man gave me a thank you fist bump and went on his way.  Although that seemed like a small deed to me, I realized that I had saved the man a lot of trouble and money. 2.50$ doesnt seem like a lot, but for him im sure that money was very important. Some people would consider what I did stealing from the government because I allowed the man to enter without paying. However I helped another human being and I considered it a good deed.
